The Best Things To Do In Costa Rica

Zip Line/ Canopy Tour at Vista Los Sueños Adventure Park

Are you planning a trip to Costa Rica but not sure which activities to do?

Hello, I’m Mathilda and I’ve been living in Costa Rica for one year and half. I will tell you which are the best activities that you can’t miss in Costa Rica.

Here are my favorite top things to do in Costa Rica.

  •  Surfing

People from all over the world come to Costa Rica just to surf, because the waves here are some of the best in Latin America. There are plenty of surf camps and surf vacations if you want to dedicate more than one day to learn.

  • Isla Tortuga Cruise

This is an excellent day excursion from Jacó and a great activity for families. You can go snorkeling, kayaking, jet skiing, swimming and hiking on this beautiful white sand island.

  • Kayak Tortuguero National Park

Tortuguero National Park, or the “Amazon of Costa Rica” is a place like no other in the country. It’s famous for turtle nestings and the canals which make up the national park. You can take boat rides through the national park to see wildlife so it’s quite an adventure to get there!

  • Explore Arenal Volcano National Park

Arenal Volcano National Park is the best place for those who want to see a “cone” shaped volcano. The Volcano erupted back in 1968, and visitors can hike through the remaining lava beds for beautiful views of the volcano and Lake Arenal.

  • Ziplining

Ziplining is one of the essential things to do in Costa Rica. You really can’t visit Costa Rica and not zipline since they are world famous for their long cables with spectacular views.

  • Horseback riding and ATV tours

Horseback riding is a fun way to see Costa Rican landscapes. Riding ATVs in Costa Rica has become more popular day after day.

For the thrill seekers I suggest ziplining, horseback riding and the ATV tours at “Vista Los Sueños Adventure Park”, located in Herradura/Jacó with a beautiful rainforest view!

And of all the things to do in Costa Rica, the most important one is to enjoy the pura vida life.

Costa Rica is a country full of love and peace and, the people teach you how to be grateful for what you have.

Hopefully your trip here will give you a new perspective on life and to appreciate what it has given to you.

Mathilda.
